Call for Abstracts

Dear friends and colleagues,

The New England Orthopedic Society will award a $1,000 cash prize to the best original scientific paper prepared and presented by a Resident or Fellow at the 2021 Spring Meeting. Second and third place papers will receive a $500 and $250 cash prize respectively.

We have simplified the submission process, and are requesting an ABSTRACT submission. Abstracts must be based on unpublished original work although it might have been submitted to other meetings or journals (unpublished). After a first round of reviews, authors of accepted abstracts will be notified and asked to submit an extended abstract or manuscript (see timeline below).

Timeline

• Friday, April 16, 2021: Abstract submission deadline
• Friday, April 30, 2021: Acceptance notification will be sent
• Friday, May 21, 2021: Manuscript submission deadline (accepted abstracts only)
• Friday, May 28, 2021: Invitation to present at the Spring Meeting
• Sunday, June 5, 2021: Oral presentation at the 2021 Spring Meeting 

Please encourage your residents and fellows to submit their abstracts for consideration.
