Call for Abstracts:

New England Orthopaedic Society 2025 Fall Meeting

Submission deadline is Monday, September 15, 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The New England Orthopedic Society (NEOS) invites submissions for our 2025 Fall Meeting, to be held Friday-Saturday, November 21-22, 2025, at the Conference Center at Waltham Woods (Massachusetts Medical Society Headquarters), 860 Winter St, Waltham, MA 02451. We encourage Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows to submit abstracts for original scientific papers to compete for prestigious awards and present their work to a distinguished audience of orthopedic professionals.

Awards and Presentation Opportunities

• Podium Presentations (Kilfoyle Award): The best original scientific paper will receive a cash prize, with additional cash awards for second and third places.

• Poster Session: Accepted authors will participate in a guided poster tour, offering a platform to discuss their research with attendees.

• Networking: Engage with leading orthopedic professionals, fostering connections for future collaboration and career advancement.

Abstracts must represent unpublished original work, though submissions to other meetings or journals (not presented) are permitted. We strongly encourage mentors to motivate their Residents and Fellows to submit.

Submission Guidelines

• Format: Submit a 300–350-word abstract as a PDF or Word document via email to our Administrator at mocque@mms.org.

• Content: Abstracts must include:

  • Introduction

  • Objective

  • Methodology

  • Results

  • Conclusion

• Categories: Indicate one of the following:

  • Basic Science

  • Database/Survey-Based Research

  • Clinical Research

• Authorship: Maximum of two (2) submissions per main author.

• Eligibility: Research must include at least one author affiliated with a New England or New York-based institution.

• File Naming: Use the format [MainAuthorLastName]_Abstract_[CategoryNumber].pdf/docx.

Timeline

• Submission Deadline: Monday, September 15, 2025

• Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: Friday, October 31, 2025, via email

• Presentation Details: Oral presentation and poster guidelines will be provided to accepted authors.

• Free Registration: Complimentary for all Medical Students, Residents, Fellows, and NEOS active members.
